Sajila Muhammad, formerly Krystina, is the visionary behind Maalika K, a lifestyle brand rooted in handmade fashion, holistic homemaking, and the pursuit of intentional living. As the Owner and Executive Director, Sajila leads with both creativity and clarity, weaving together her deep love for craftsmanship with over a decade of experience in professional communication and strategy.

A devoted wife and homeschooling mother of two sons, Sajila has spent the past 12 years sewing garments that reflect modesty, elegance, and cultural pride. Her background in Mass Communications and 13 years as a technical writer and communications consultant have equipped her to build compelling narratives, strategic brands, and mission-aligned messaging. She has worked with a wide range of companies and organizations including TechDoc, BTU, Nike, eTechPublish, the National Birth Equity Collaborative, H.E.R. Institute, and Credit Healing LLC.

Sajila is also a published writer whose thoughtful, culturally grounded work has appeared in Essence and iOne Digital. Her words reflect the same grounded femininity that defines her lifestyle—rich in tradition, purpose, and grace.

Today, Sajila and her family live on a 20-acre homestead, where she gardens over 1,400 square feet of land, raises chickens, and cultivates a life of self-sufficiency and soul. Through Maalika K, she invites other women to do the same: to slow down, create with their hands, nurture their families, and live beautifully on purpose.
